Welcome

Ambassador Anne Lugon-Moulin

Dear visitors,

Dear compatriots,

It is a great pleasure and honour to serve as Switzerland’s Ambassador to Serbia and to Montenegro. Since my arrival in September 2024, I have had the privilege of witnessing first-hand the strength of the ties between Switzerland and Serbia, as well as the many opportunities that deepen our cooperation. Our relations are built on longstanding friendship, close diplomatic and economic links and people-to-people exchanges.

This year is particularly special, as we celebrate 110 years of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Serbia. In tribute to this important milestone, the President of the Swiss Confederation, Mr Guy Parmelin, visited Serbia. In addition to official talks, his visit provided an opportunity to launch Switzerland’s new International Cooperation Programme 2026-2029, to visit Nestlé and the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade.

Looking ahead, Switzerland will continue to contribute to international dialogue on issues of shared importance. We will participate in EXPO2027 in Belgrade with our own pavilion dedicating to the theme “Play and dialogue”. Moreover, Geneva will host the AI Summit on 21 and 22 June 2027, bringing together governments, industry, academia and civil society to advance discussions on common frameworks and the governance of artificial intelligence.

The Embassy has recently moved to new premises, and further information, including details for visitors requiring consular services, is available in the consular section of this website. The Embassy team and I remain at your disposal for any assistance or information.

I also encourage you to follow us on our social media accounts as we publish day-to-day information about the Embassy’s activities.

With best wishes

Anne Lugon-Moulin
